Race Start Times:

  • 9:00 AM

Registration Fee:

  • 10K: $35  ($40 after September 1)
  • $15K: $40 ($45 after September 1)
  • 5K Run/Walk: $30 ($35 after September 1)
  • FREE for Berkshire County students K-12
  • There is an online processing fee. NO REFUNDS/DEFERMENTS

Race Course

The race will be held at the Pittsfield State Forest with three options of distances to walk or run. The course is an out and back run down a foliage lined street that leads out of the state forest then circles back to the start.

Attendees can take part in the loop once for a 5K distance, twice for the 10K and the 3 times around for a 15K distance.

Prizes | Awards |Raffle

  • Prizes will be awarded for the 5K top overall women finishers, and for the top finishers in each age category  (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
  • Overall top woman and man finishers for 1 Mile Run/Walk

Awards Ceremony

  • The awards ceremony will take place for each event: 9:45AM for the 5K, at 10:15AM for the 10K, and at 11:00AM for the 15K.

Runners & Spectators Please Note

No Dogs or Pets
Due to safety concerns, no dogs or pets are allowed in the race.

  • Headphone are potentially hazardous as you are limiting your ability to be aware of what is around you, course marshals, bikes, pedestrians and other traffic. For reasons stated we discourage the wearing of headphones.
  • Wheelchairs and other disabled push strollers are welcomed. To help accommodate your needs, please contact us and let us know you are coming and we can help with any accommodations you require.

Spectators

  • SPECATATORS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CROSS THE FINISH LINE AND ENTER THE CHUTE TO FOLLOW YOUR RUNNER

The Fine Print

Refunds
No refunds under any circumstances, including event cancellation or postponement.

Events are planned and paid for months in advance of the actual date. IF our event is canceled or postponed because of weather, pandemics, or other forces beyond our control, we won’t be able to provide refunds. In these rare situations, we’ll convert the race to a virtual one and mail you your full race goodie bag.

Due to regulations changes may be made to the course or race details for the safety of our participants and staff. Any changes will be communicated prior to the event via email, on our social media platforms, and on our website.

Since its founding in 1962, the Berkshire County Historical Society has preserved and shared the memories of our communities. Photographs, manuscripts, artifacts, and oral histories all illustrate the amazing histories of this region.

And for over forty years, the Historical Society has also preserved Herman Melville’s Arrowhead, a National Historic Landmark.
