We are inviting all local businesses to sponsor the BHS July 4th 5K Road Race and participate in our Corporate Challenge. Your business’ support will raise essential funds for BHS community wellness programs. Each sponsorship level includes race registrations for your corporate team to encourage you and your employees to get in on the fun of this friendly competition. Sponsorships are needed and welcomed by contacting Jackie Kelly Olson at jkelly10@bhs1.org
Start line is at 500 Wahconah Street (approx. 3/4 mile north of the Wahconah Ballpark). Most of race route is same as the Pittsfield Hometown 4th of July Parade route. Finish is at Wahconah Park (105 Wahconah St, Pittsfield, MA 01201) . View Race Course Map

Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place at Wahconah Park at 10:00 AM.

No Dogs or Pets
Due to safety concerns, no dogs or pets are allowed in the race.
Spectators
The Pittsfield Parade route has great viewing all along the course. We encourage you to secure your spot for the parade following the race, and cheer on all of the runners and walkers passing by!
Refunds
No refunds under any circumstances, including event cancellation or postponement.
Events are planned and paid for months in advance of the actual date. IF our event is canceled or postponed because of weather, pandemics, or other forces beyond our control, we won’t be able to provide refunds. In these rare situations, we’ll convert the race to a virtual one and mail you your full race goodie bag.
Due to regulations changes may be made to the course or race details for the safety of our participants and staff. Any changes will be communicated prior to the event via email, on our social media platforms, and on our website.
The Berkshire Health Systems 4th of July Road Race is an out-and-back 5K course on the parade route of Downtown Pittsfield’s Fourth of July Hometown Parade. This USTF 5K course is one of the most fun and exciting races in that runners are surrounded by thousands of fans lining both sides of the entire course.
The partnership between Berkshire Health Systems and Berkshire Running Foundation has created new opportunities for support, education and training to those in our community who would like to take part in this classic event. Proceeds from the race support community wellness programing thru Berkshire Health Systems.
